The Campaign Translator add-on is designed to translate the static text elements of VCE Block-based email campaigns edited in the Visual Content Editor. All dynamic components, including embedded scripts, such as ESL and web addresses, will remain unchanged.
Creating new email campaign translations
Once you have created the original language versions of your VCE campaign, follow these steps to create translations of it.
- Check the appearing Translations pop-up panel where all the previously created translations are listed.
The list is empty when the campaign has not been translated yet. - Click New Translation to start the process for generating a new translation of your campaign content.
- Configure the translations for this specific email campaign, in case of not using default settings.
- In the Translator Provider drop-down list select your translator tool. Learn more.
- Select the target languages you want to use.
- Provide a basic prompt to the AI tool that describes your business and your brand.
- You can set the toggle for formal language use.
- In the Content Blocks tab select the blocks you want to be translated.
- Submit configuration.
- In the Translations screen check the new translations listed with
- Language,
- AI tool provider,
- Creation date, and
- Status.
The status starts at Pending while the AI tool processes the request.
- Once the Campaign Translator has completed the translation, the Status changes to Completed.
- Click on the eye icon to open the translated campaign in the Campaign Editor.
- The translations are at this point created by the Campaign Translator add-on as new campaigns, using the name of the original Campaign, and adding the translation details in a separated list.
- Optionally, you can check and edit the translated texts manually.
- Once you are satisfied with the translation results, you can save the campaign and add it to your Automation as a language version.
Tips
- Always use the original campaign when creating additional translations, instead of an already translated copy. This way, all your translations of a given campaign will be listed in the Translations pop-up screen of the original campaign, making it easier to manage.
- If you update your original campaign text, you will need to submit a new translation request. In this case, it is best to delete earlier versions of the campaign’s translations to avoid too many campaign versions from littering your Campaigns list.
