This article gives you an introduction to the widgets and widget categories of the Zendesk Emarsys add-on that you can use in your Zendesk marketplace.
How does the Zendesk Emarsys add-on work?
Zendesk Emarsys add-on enables you to install widgets and organize your widget categories, to have a great overview over all contact data and the required information.

What are the widgets?
Widgets hold the information about the contact in logically separated units. Each widget holds a certain subset of data about a contact, pulled directly from Emarsys.

Widget: Account info
This widget displays the following information and enables an agent to edit them:
- email address (Emarsys field 3)
- first name (Emarsys field 1)
- last name (Emarsys field 2)
- opt-in (Emarsys field 31)
Widget: Spending info
This widget displays the following information (See Data & Activity Summary):

Widget: Trigger external events
This widgets enables an agent to trigger any external event that was added to an allowlist in the Add-On or does meet the event prefix criteria. For information on the setup, see Advanced widget settings.
Widget: Email general
This widget displays the following information:

last_email_sent
(Date of when the last email was sent to the contact.) -
last_email_received
(Date of when the last email was sent to the contact and did not bounce.) -
email_sent_count
(Number of all emails ever sent to this contact.) -
email_received_count
(Number of all emails ever sent to this contact which did not bounce.)
Widget: Email history
This widget shows the detailed email history of all emails ever sent to the contact.
For each mail there are following informations available:
- Name of the Email campaign (In bold font).
- Subject of the email.
- Date and time when the email was sent.
- An "x" or a checkmark, indicating whether the email has bounced or not.
- A link that will show the content of the mail in the browser.
Click the link icon and enable the pop-up in your browser to retrieve the URL of the link.
Predict widgets
The Predict widgets enable you to use the emarsys predict engine for various use cases. All predict widgets have a product feed in common, which is filled with products based on the widget
Predict: Last session
This widget displays the following information:

last_session_date
(The date of the last session predict logged for this contact.) -
last_session_time_spent
(The time the contact spent in the last session predict logged for this contact.) - Product feed: Here the product feed will hold products from the last shopping session, that predict logged for this contact.
Predict: Last purchase
This widget displays the following information:

last_purchase_date
(The date of the last purchase predict logged for this contact) -
last_purchase_price
(The price of all products the contact has bought on the last purchase) - Product feed: Here the product feed will hold products from the last purchase, that predict logged for this contact.
Predict: Last abandoned
This widget displays the following information:

last_abandoned_date
(The date when the contact last abandoned a cart.) -
last_abandoned_total_price
(The price of the last cart a contact has abandoned.) - Product feed: Here the product feed will hold products from the last abandoned cart, that predict logged for this contact.
Predict: Recommended
This widget displays the following information:
- Product feed: The product feed will hold products predictions that might be of interest for this contact.
Why to use Categories?
Categories help you improve the user experience by encapsulating multiple widgets in a meaningful way. In categories you can organize the different widgets in a manner that is intuitive for the agents to use. You can create your own widget categories, to fit your agents workflow
