Link categories are a useful way to segment your recipients by their response to certain kinds of links. 

Creating link categories

To create a link category, go to the Management > Link Categories. 

You create the categories here and then assign them to a link in the content editor. A link may belong to only one category at a time.

Assigning categories to links

In the email content editor, you assign the category in the Link Tracking section.

Using link categories in segments

When segmenting by contact behavior, you can filter for responses only to links in a certain category.

Using link categories in exports

You can also select the link category as a field in the export of contact responses, for analysis outside Emarsys.
