On the Analytics > Launch Time Advisor page you can see your email response rates for each day of the week, and for every hour in the day.
The graphs show the click-to-open ratio, i.e. when opens resulted in clicks (and, hopefully, conversions). The tables below the graphs show a breakdown of clicks and opens as well.
These results are generated from all emails sent from your account in the last 30 days to a launch list of more than 200 contacts, and are updated once a week. For statistical relevance, hourly periods where fewer than 20 opens occurred are ignored. The most recent email campaigns (with responses tracked in the last three days) are also ignored.
You can set your report to analyze:
- All emails
- Emails in a certain category
- Individual campaign launches
Emails sent more than 30 days ago do not appear in the statistics. For example, if you have not sent any emails of a certain category for more than 30 days, you will not see any data in the analysis for this category.
The times shown on this page reflect the launch times of the email campaigns according to your account's default timezone. They are not affected by the timezone you set in your My Profile page.
How can these metrics help me?
These graphs help you to understand the response habits of your customers. If you know when they are most likely to open an email, read the contents or click a call to action, you can time your launches for maximum effect.
Send Time Optimization
If you are using Send Time Optimization, Emarsys will calculate the best time to send each contact an email based on their likelihood of opening it.
This does not mean the time when they are most likely to open, but the launch time which will have the highest probability of resulting in a response.
In other words, since Launch Time Advisor shows the open time and STO is concerned with launch time, the response habits shown in the Launch Time Advisor will not necessarily match the distribution of launches calculated by STO.
