In the Visual Content Editor (VCE) ,also called as Block-based Email editor the additional redirect parameters function enables you to add a $clinktitle$
or a $clinkname$
variable to have tracking links on various elements of your email campaign. Below you can see the most frequently used practices.
1. Clinktitle parameter on the link name
Use the $clinktitle$
as an additional redirect parameter. The $clinktitle$
is a variable, which refers to the name in analysis that can be specified in the Links tab. The variable $clinkname$
is the linked text or image.
2. Clinktitle parameter on the image
Here you can use the $clinktitle$
parameter as a link with a title, where the link is added to an image and there is no alternative text defined either. In this case $clinktitle$
refers to the title.
3. Clinkname parameter on the image
You can use the $clinkname$
parameter where the link is added to an image. An alternative text is defined here, as well.
In this case the $clinkname$
refers to the name of the image with the "IMAGE" as prefix. The name of the image as it is saved on the web server.
3.1 Clinkname parameter on the CTA button
In this use case you can use the $clinkname$
parameter as a link with a title, where the parameter is defined for the CTA button. The $clinkname$
derives the value of "Title" from the Link Editor.
