The email metrics on the Main Dashboard will use a new data source called the Unified Email Reporting. This is the same data source used by Trend reporting, so the experience across the different reporting screens with regards to email metrics will be more consistent with this change.
As a result, you might experience significant differences between your previous Main Dashboard and the new one. For example, if you exported data from the Main Dashboard previously, then you might see that numbers are different in the new reports. The reason for this is the following:
- The refresh mechanism has been changed.
- Transactional campaigns are handled more flexibly regarding their timezone: the Unified Email Reporting allows for calculating daily aggregates based on your timezone settings.
