Loyalty uses these personalization tokens to check if the recipient is already a Loyalty member.
To include these tokens, create your campaign emails with the Visual Content Editor. Use visuals and text to reinforce your message:
- Motivate purchases by highlighting rewards
- Create a sense of urgency by showing the limited availability of the reward
- Show the Loyalty status of your members
When using Status tokens (the first set of Loyalty tokens), please keep in mind that the email will only be sent out to contacts who are Loyalty members. Contacts who are not Loyalty members will not receive the email, as there are no values for them for these tokens, and therefore the email has no content and will not be sent out.
A workaround for this if the status tokens are put in an optional block and only shown to Loyalty members. In this case, non-members will also get the email, but without the block.
Action tokens can be sent out also to non-members as they have a default value that will be returned to the contact, meaning they will get the default Join action tokens.
Please note that Loyalty tokens do not support HTML templates. Make sure to use them with block-based VCE templates.
Creating a reminder email for your actions increases the change of responding to your campaigns.
By using block targeting, conditional text and the Emarsys Scripting Language, you can create base emails that are tailored to the person opening them. You can display content specific to contacts with the specified database field values.
Using these techniques, you need to maintain less emails, instead of preparing for every scenario a separate email.
Tokens of Loyalty actions in Ready to use status are displayed as Predefined tokens.
Tokens can be dragged and dropped into your blocks.
