Use cases:: Tokens in Web Channel – Emarsys

Only Web Channel campaigns targeting segments or included in Automation Center programs can contain personalization tokens.

In Web Channel on the Content step of the campaign setup flow you can add personalization tokens to your campaigns created with any of the editors:

Visual editor-based campaigns
HTML editor-based campaigns

Drag and Drop

At the Personalization tab you can drag and drop the selected Personalization token into your content editor window.

At the bottom of the Personalization tab, you can start token creation as seen in the previous sections by clicking Create custom token. Alternatively, you can check all your previously created tokens by clicking Go to Personalization.

Text editor

Alternatively, you can click in your text content block, position your cursor in the text where you want to add the placeholder and click the icon. Then the personalization placeholder is inserted in the text.

HTML editor-based campaigns

To add a personalization token to your HTML-based Web Channel campaign, position your cursor in the HTML code where you want to insert the placeholder and click the icon in the toolbar.
