Once you have successfully uploaded your product data and integrated our Web Extend data collections scripts, our Live Validator starts scanning your website traffic to check if the scripts are doing their job properly and if the data they are picking up on your website is consistent with those found in your product and contact databases. The Live Validator page displays the results of these validation checks, more than a hundred of them, to help you troubleshoot any issues.
What can you do here?
- This is the page in the Emarsys Marketing Platform where you can see a list of all the issues or potential problems related to your data sources, JavaScript API implementation and Predict recommendations.
- If there are issues with your product recommendations, this is the page where you will find a detailed list of these as well as suggestions on how to fix them.
What can you see here?
The Live Validator page shows a rolling analysis of the last few thousand web events collected on your website as well as the time it took to collect them. It is divided into two boxes:
- Validation messages related to your data sources and JavaScript API integration are listed in the box on the left (Integration).
- Those related to product recommendations are listed in the box on the right (Predict features).
Potential errors are highlighted in red and warnings are highlighted in orange. Just click them to expand a detailed description of the issue as well as suggestions on how to fix them.
Using the three checkboxes at the top, you can select the type of validation messages you want to see.
Troubleshooting
Errors and warnings will continue to be displayed even after you have corrected them, and will continue to be visible until further 4,000 web events have been logged. This could take minutes or hours, depending on the traffic of your website.
