After a Mobile Wallet campaign has been created, tested and finalized, it is ready for launch. The Mobile Wallet campaign can be distributed in email, Mobile Engage In-app and Conversational Channel campaigns.
In this article, you will learn how to embed a Mobile Wallet campaign into an In-app message.
Prerequisites
- The Mobile Wallet campaign must be in Ready to Launch status.
- Mobile Engage has to be configured for In-app messages, as described in Mobile Engage - In-app messages overview.
Adding a Mobile Wallet campaign to an In-app message
- Choose the In-app campaign type you would like to create:
Make sure your In-app message contains the required number of buttons according to your use case. In the following procedure, we have chosen a content block with 2 buttons so that users can add the Mobile Wallet campaign to their Wallet on the Android and iOS mobile platforms as well.
- In the Content Creation step of the In-app message, proceed as follows:
- Select a Content Block of your choice,
- Add button labels, for example: Add to Apple Wallet and Add to Google Wallet.
- Highlight the button label and click the Button Editor icon.

- Proceed as follows:
- Set the Button type to External URL.
- Click the Personalization icon next to the URL field.

c. Insert the required campaign personalization token.

- Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the other button label.
- Test the overlay In-app campaign with test users as follows:
- Click the buttons in the In-app message.
- Verify that passes are generated properly and users can save them to their Wallet applications.
Make sure you perform this step both on Android and iOS mobile platforms.
- Schedule and launch your In-app campaign.
