The steps for creating a token are the same for all token types.
Here is what you need to do to create a token category:
- Go to Content > Personalization and click Create Token.
Personalization Token Category creation does not have a separate user interface for the time being. This means, among others, that once created, you cannot modify or delete it.
To edit or delete your Personalization Token category contact Emarsys Support.
- Select any of the categories in the pop-up window.
- Add a descriptive name to your category and click Create.
This is important, since you will be using these tokens in many categories, so giving names such as "First name" or "Date of Birth" may be beneficial later while searching for your token. Do not forget that your tokens can be reused across campaigns.
- Your token category will be listed in the Personalization sidebar within the Content Creation step of the wizard.
