MMS is only available for Bring-Your-Own-Vendor (BYOV) customers. Emarsys does not perform feature development for the Legacy SMS model.
The Self-service MMS onboarding feature enables you to connect your MMS provider to Emarsys and start using the MMS channel.
- Only the approved and integrated SMS providers are supported by Emarsys. The list of such providers can be found in your MMS product, on Emarsys Partner Connect.
- You cannot set up multiple providers with an Emarsys account, only one MMS provider per Emarsys account is supported.
- The MMS provider must be the same as the SMS provider.
Prerequisites
- Active MMS contract with your chosen provider (Sinch, Attentive, Tallbob)
- Provider's API credentials
Setting up your MMS connection
To start using the MMS channel with the supported providers, first you need to go through the MMS setup.
- Go to Management > SMS Settings.
- Select the Settings tab.
- In the API Credentials (MMS) pane set up the necessary credentials to use MMS with the supported providers.
You can edit the following fields:
- API username
- API key
- Delivery report URL
- Inbound URL
Use the valid credentials according to your MMS provider:
- Attentive, TallBob: You can use the same credentials for both SMS and MMS.
- Sinch: These providers have different sets of credentials for SMS or MMS services.
- Once the credentials are entered, click Update Provider Settings.
Updating your MMS provider settings
- You can edit the following credentials:
- Service Plan ID
- API Key Credentials
- Base URL - Select it from the drop-down
- Once the credentials are entered, click Save and you are ready to create MMS campaigns.
Limitations
- MMS can only be used via one of our supported MMS Vendors: Sinch, Attentive or TallBob.
- You must use the same provider for both SMS & MMS.
