Activating the Account Owner role is available for customers with the following contracts:

SAP paper clients:
- After profile validation SAP users can log in their Emarsys accounts.
- Using SAP Cloud Identity Services: IAS (SCIS:IAS) once provisioning is complete, the tenants can automatically set up the Emarsys account with the Single Sign-on feature, without the need of adding login credentials.
- Emarsys paper clients: In the case of accounts signed on Emarsys paper after the profile validation users can set up their Emarsys accounts.
The main steps of your Account Owner role activation:
Activation email
After your account is created, depending on your contract type, you will receive an SAP activation email or Emarsys activation email in order to finalize the creation of your Account Owner role. Please select the ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT OWNER ROLE link in the activation email.

User profile validation and account setting
The ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT OWNER ROLE link will redirect you to the activation form. The required information should be provided for
SAP paper clients: Profile validation
Provide the following information:
- Account details
- Login details
- Profile details
- Regional details
For SAP paper clients with SAP IAS tenant selecting the Connect Your User to SSO Login is mandatory.
Emarsys paper clients: Profile validation
Provide the following information:
- Login details
- Profile details
- Multi-factor authentication
- Regional details
Users with Admin roles can complete their activation without multi-factor authentication. For the Account Owner role, multi-factor authentication is required. Learn more.
Admin role
Users having admin roles can complete their activation without multi-factor authentication.
Account Owner role (superadmin)
For the Account Owner role, multi-factor authentication is required to complete the activation. Select Verify Phone Number after indicating the phone number you wish to use for the authentication.
Verifying your phone number
You can receive the verification code via SMS or you can request a callback with the code.
After your phone number has been verified, select Activate user at the bottom. After successful activation, you can log in to the client user interface by:
- selecting Go to Login on the success page, or
- using the link indicated in a confirmation email sent upon the activation.
Please note that the credentials (such as Account name and User name) for the login are also indicated in the second email.
